Atlanta Education Foundation to Host Blue Jeans & Bling

The Atlanta Education Foundation and its Board of Directors will host Blue Jeans & Bling at the Indian Hills Country Club on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. This annual fundraising event supports the mission of AEF, inspiring innovative and creative teaching and learning in Atlanta ISD.

Dress is casual with this fun cowboy theme. Wear your jeans, boots, hats, and bling and get ready for a sensational evening. The event will include a delicious catered dinner, an exciting live auction with local auctioneer Shelby Crump, and live entertainment featuring the band Relentless. Bringing a whole new experience to live performance venues, the lead vocals of Relentless will entertain with Top 40 country hits and original music, along with Texas country songs we all know and love. Tickets for the evening are tax deductible donations of $100 each.

Blue Jeans & Bling is the Foundation’s main fundraiser each year. In its five years of existence, AEF has awarded over $80,000 in teacher grants for Atlanta ISD. Along with the grants, they also host the annual awards ceremony, “Walk the Red Carpet,” for the Top 10% of the graduating class of AHS. The Foundation also sponsors the Distinguished Alumni Awards that are given each year at Homecoming.  Founded in 2010, AEF is a non-profit, tax exempt, philanthropic organization of volunteers from the Atlanta community who share a vision of enhancing education in AISD.
